PHRI Bekasi Welcomes the 2025 Railway Experience FamTrip Program

The Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) of Bekasi Regency welcomed the FamTrip Railway Experience 2025 program initiated by the West Java chapter of the Indonesian Travel Agencies Association (ASITA). This program is expected to boost hotel and restaurant occupancy in Bekasi Regency. The Chairperson of PHRI Bekasi Regency, Tuti Nucholifah Yasin, stated that this program involves not only tourism businesses from West Java, but also from various regions in Indonesia and abroad. “The travel agents and tour operators attending are not only from West Java, but also from Padang, Palembang, and even Malaysia,” she said when met after attending the FamTrip Railway Experience 2025 Table Top Business Matching event at the Grand Zury Jababeka Hotel on Tuesday (10/15). At the event, participants were introduced to various leading destinations in Bekasi Regency, including industrial tourism, one of its main attractions. Participants are expected to package this experience into an attractive tour package to attract tourists from outside the region to visit and stay in Bekasi Regency. “This is the first time, so we hope that in the future, not only travel agents and tour operators will come, but also guests they bring to participate in industry tours and stay at hotels, especially those under the auspices of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) in Bekasi Regency,” explained Tuti. She added that this program is a breath of fresh air for the hotel and restaurant industry, especially amidst government budget cuts. “They really appreciate it and are even more enthusiastic than us, the event organizers. Because, again, our hotel occupancy rates are still unstable, especially now without additional funding from the meeting. So, this activity can be considered a breath of fresh air, a new business opportunity,” she said. The Railway Experience 2025 FamTrip program itself runs for four days, from October 14-17, 2025. This activity includes visits to various prime destinations in several cities and regencies in West Java. FamTrip participants consist of representatives from travel agents and tour operators from outside the region. Through this activity, they are expected to package their experiences into attractive tour packages that can be offered to tourists. Disya, a representative of ASITA Bekasi Regency, stated that this program is expected to encourage an increase in the number of tourists visiting the area and simultaneously strengthen the local tourism sector. “Bekasi Regency has enormous tourism potential, particularly in the industrial tourism sector. With thousands of factories and industrial areas spread throughout the region, Bekasi Regency has a unique charm that can attract tourists, both domestic and international,” she said.
